Firefighters save neighbouring home from abandoned house fire - Seven Hills

Published: 07 Oct 2021 02:43am

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) battled a fire at an abandoned house in Seven Hills overnight.

Firefighters quickly controlled the blaze and saved a neighboring home from fire damage as one abandoned house was well alight when crews arrived at Third Avenue just before 3:00 am this morning.

The fire was contained to the side-by-side abandoned houses and the scene was handed to NSW Police for investigation.

Superintendent Scott Dodson said the incident is a timely reminder that calling Triple Zero (000) for a fire emergency can be the difference between life and death, or a building or other property being saved or destroyed.
