Townhouse Fire - Bankstown - Bankstown

Fire and Rescue NSW extinguished a garage fire in a townhouse complex in Brandon Avenue, Bankstown earlier today.

Following numerous Triple Zero (000) calls, crews arrived on scene and found a garage well alight at the rear of the property.

Firefighters quickly contained the fire and protected neighbouring properties. Two other townhouses in the complex were damaged by smoke and heat.

Five people were treated on scene by NSW Ambulance and transported to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.

NSW Police were also in attendance at the incident.
