Unit Fire - Chatswood

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) responded to a unit fire on Archer Street, Chatswood overnight.

On arrival, crews found one man had self-evacuated and was suffering burns. The fire was extinguished by internal sprinklers which flooded the unit.

FRNSW provided the man with emergency medical care until he could be transferred to the care of NSW Ambulance paramedics.

A salvage crew from City of Sydney Fire Station attended the incident and worked to restore the sprinkler system back into operation.
