Car Fire - Guildford

More than 20 Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) firefighters from seven local fire stations attended the scene of a car fire in an underground carpark at a unit block in Woodville Road, Guildford today.

FRNSW received numerous Triple Zero (000) calls reporting a car alight in a basement carpark of the unit block from 2.41pm.

Attending crews extinguished the fire, which created a large amount of smoke in the area.

Around 30 people self-evacuated from the unit block. There were no reported injuries.

One other car was damaged in the fire as well as water, sewer and electricity lines.
