Car Fire - Muswellbrook

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) today attended the scene of a small car fire on Queen St, Muswellbrook, following the explosion of a battery jumper pack.

When firefighters arrived they found one male suffering burns to his body after the battery jumper pack exploded while connected to his car.

FRNSW disconnected the battery pack and extinguished any remaining hot spots.

NSW Ambulance treated the man before transporting him to a local helipad for airlifting to hospital.

FRNSW urges anyone using battery jumper packs to follow the safety instructions and ensure it is in good working order before operation.
