Pet Rabbit Rescued from House Fire - St Clair

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews responded to numerous Triple Zero (000) calls reporting a house fire on Ashford Gr, St Clair shortly before 1:00 on this afternoon.

FRNSW arrived on scene and were confronted with a single level building that was well alight and flames impinging on 2 nearby structures. Firefighters deployed hose lines and began fighting the blaze.

Approximately 28 firefighters were in attendance and brought it under control and completely extinguished after two hours.

Firefighters rescued the family pet rabbit.

in total, one house and one shed were destroyed by the fire, with one person assessed by NSW Ambulance.

NSW Police were also in attendance.
