Breakwall Rescue - Newcastle

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) negotiated rough sea conditions to rescue a person stuck on rocks at the breakwall at Nobbys Beach, Newcastle this afternoon.

The person was trapped on the rocks with back pain, while large waves were crashing against the breakwall.

FRNSW crews from Newcastle and Lambton fire stations stabilised the person and removed them to safety in the volatile conditions.

NSW Ambulance was also on scene to treat the patient.
