Aircraft Incident - Narrabeen

Shortly after 2pm this afternoon Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) responded to reports of an aircraft landing on Collaroy Beach.
The plane made a successful emergency landing on the beach after having engine difficulty.
FRNSW firefighters worked in conjunction with volunteers from Surf Life Saving Australia to tow the plane away from the high tide mark as the tide was coming in.
Aviation experts will examine the plane and determine whether FRNSW Hazmat crews will need to drain the fuel so the plane can be removed from the beach utilising a crane.
There were no injuries and the plane suffered no damage.
