Retirement Village Unit Fire - Taren Point

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) Firefighters responded to triple zero (000) calls for a unit fire at Retirement Village at Peron Place in Willmot.

The fire was contained to a microwave and smoke had spread throughout three units.

Three residents were treated for minor smoke inhalation and approx 30 elderly residents were evacuated. The area was ventilated quickly to remove smoke so residents could return to their units and get out of the bad weather.
