Bus Fire - Naremburn

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) firefighters have extinguished a fire that broke out on a bus travelling on the Warringah Freeway, Naremburn just after 3.30pm this afternoon.

Upon arrival FRNSW firefighters found smoke issuing from the rear of the bus and worked quickly to extinguish the fire and prevent it spreading further.

A large fuel spill has occurred as a result of the blaze, with specialist HAZMAT crews from FRNSW currently on scene working to clear the spill.

Traffic on the Warringah Freeway is heavily affected, motorists are advised to use alternate routes as emergency services work to clear the incident.
