Car crash into building - Haberfield

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) firefighters are currently on scene at an incident on Parramatta Road, Haberfield where a car has crashed into a building, trapping two occupants.

Specialist rescue crews arrived on scene just after 3.30pm and found a car had hit a brick wall leaving a driver and passenger trapped inside the vehicle.

Crews are now working to safely extricate the passengers through the removal of the side door of the car before handing them to NSW Ambulance for further treatment.

One lane of Parramatta Road Eastbound is currently closed, traffic in the area is heavily affected. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes if possible.
