Building Fire - Northmead

Just after 1:30 pm today Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) responded to reports of a building fire in Windsor Road, Northmead

On arrival, crews found the Northmead Bowling Club had smoke issuing from a rear kitchen and continued to investigate
Fire crews found the source of the smoke and fire was from a cooktop reaching into improperly installed wall panels.

Crews used out TIC and battery-operated combi tool to quickly remove the wall panels and access/ prevent fire from spreading up into the roof

The fire was extinguished and no injuries were reported
