Truck crash - Lidcombe

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) firefighters have rescued a truck driver who had crashed into powerlines on Nicholas Street, Lidcombe shortly before 9 am this morning.

Upon arrival, crews found the truck had crashed into nearby powerlines which had fallen across the road. Crews worked quickly to rescue the driver and have restricted the area whilst waiting the arrival of energy authorities.

Gallipoli St and west on Nicholas St were closed to traffic but have since reopened.
