Factory Fire - Riverwood

Published: 27 Apr 2021 10:07am

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) mobilised around 20 firefighting crews to respond to a large factory fire on Wiggs Road, Riverwood, this morning.

FRNSW received multiple Triple Zero (000) calls from 10:07am reporting a large plume of smoke coming from the factory.

Two cherry pickers and two ladder platform trucks were among the large response and were able to bring the fire under control, stopping it from spreading to a large timber pile on the property.

Four people were able to self-evacuate the property without injury.

Crews remain on scene putting out spot fires and cleaning up.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area.
