Truck crash - Biddon

Specialist rescue crews from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) have spent more than four hours working to free a male truck driver who became trapped following a truck crash near Gildgandra just after 5am this morning.

Two B-Double trucks collided on the Newell Highway in Biddon, with one driver walking away uninjured and the other suffering serious injuries.

FRNSW crews from Gulgong and Gilgandra worked to safely extricate the second driver, who was treated on scene by NSW Ambulance before being helicoptered to hospital for further treatment.

NSW SES, RFS and NSW Police were also on scene and the Newell Highway is currently closed as emergency services continue to render the area safe.
