Rescue Incident - Pearl Beach

Published: 08 Apr 2021 04:51pm

Firefighters from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) have rescued a male who fell off a ledge on Pearl Beach Road, Pearl Beach yesterday evening.

Crews were responded to the incident just before 5:00pm, after a male had reportedly fallen some distance to the bottom of a cliff. The man was treated for his injuries by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene, who located him in dense bushland.

Due to the challenging terrain and location of the patient, specialist vertical rescue crews from FRNSW used rescue equipment to access and retrieve the patient.

NSW Police Force, NSW Ambulance, and the NSW Rural Fire Service were all in attendance, with the male being removed and conveyed to hospital by helicopter, shortly after 8.30pm.
