House Fire - Eagle Vale

Published: 08 Apr 2021 09:59am

Over thirty Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) firefighters are currently on scene at a House Fire on Turquoise Place, Eagle Vale, which broke out just before 10am.

Responding to multiple Triple Zero (000) calls, arriving crews were faced with a fully involved single-level house fire. Due to the intensity of the blaze, the roof and some walls collapsed, making access difficult for firefighters.

NSW Police Force and NSW Ambulance were both responded to provide assistance, while firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze.

No injuries were reported, and the owner of the house was not at home at the time that the fire broke out. The cause of the fire is currently undetermined, and remains under investigation.

Firefighting operations are expected to continue for a number of hours while the area is made safe.

Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said FRNSW is attending numerous house fires and that it was a timely reminder for residents to develop their fire escape plan.

"Now is the time for residents to check they have a working smoke alarm and that all members of the family have an awareness of calling Triple Zero (000) in an emergency," he said.
