Flash flooding - Raymond Terrace

Published: 07 Apr 2021 05:51pm

Just before 6pm yesterday evening, Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews from Raymond Terrace responded to a flash flooding event on Adelaide Street, which caused a car and its occupants to become trapped.

Four land based flood rescue operators responded to the incident, and provided assistance to the persons in the vehicle. In conjunction with local Council, and with assistance from the NSW Police Force, crews worked to clean local drains, allowing water levels in the area to drop.

No injuries were reported, and all of those in the vehicle were removed to safety.
