Published: 19 Mar 2021 02:28pm

Just before 2:30pm this afternoon Fire and Rescue (FRNSW) crews were called to Balmoral Crescent, Georges Hall to rescue a kitten who had become trapped in the engine compartment of a car.

Firefighters from Bankstown Fire Station worked quickly to remove the tyre of the car so they could access the feline who had jumped up into the engine of the SUV.

After a bit of coaxing the kitten was removed safely with no injuries and returned to its happy owners.
