Two car crash - St Marys

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) firefighters have managed to safely rescue two people who had become trapped following a car crash on Carpenter Street in St Marys just before 3pm.

On arrival crews found a two car crash had occured, with two people still trapped inside of the vehicles.

In a multi agency effort, NSW Ambulance treated the patients in the vehicle whilst FRNSW set up an extrication plan.

The driver of the vehicle was removed via a side door removal while firefighters removed the roof of the car to safely extricate the passenger due to the nature of her injuries.

Both patients were transported via ambulance to hospital for further treatment.
