House Fire - Timbumburi

More than twenty firefighters have worked for over two hours to extinguish a blaze that broke out at a home on Duri Dungowan Road, Timbumburi just before 11.30am this morning.

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews arrived a short time later to find the single story house well alight. Due to limited water supply in the area, additional trucks were requested from both the NSW Rural Fire Service and FRNSW.

In a multi agency effort, firefighters from FRNSW and the RFS worked to extinguish the fire whilst relaying water from a nearby dam.

The fire was extinguished just before 2pm. No injuries were reported however the home was severely damaged.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
