House Fire - Long Jetty

More than 20 Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) firefighters have battled a blaze that broke out at a home on Eloora Road, Long Jetty shortly before midnight last night.

Firefighters received numerous Triple Zero (000) calls from the Long Jetty community reporting a fire at the duplex style home. On arrival crews found large flames issuing through the roof of the home, threatening the neighbouring property.

Residents of the home and of the adjoining property managed to safely evacuate, however one female occupant was treated on scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics after suffering from shock.

Firefighters managed to extinguish the fire just after 1.30am, the cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
