House Fire - Lakemba

More than 20 Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) firefighters are currently battling a large fire that broke out at a home on Quigg Street, Lakemba, just before 2pm.

On arrival firefighters found thick black smoke issuing from the rear of the home, with the fire threatening a neighboring property.

All residents have been evacuated from the home, one woman has been assessed on scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics.

Traffic in the area is impacted with Quigg Street closed as emergency services continue to render the area safe.

FRNSW have received dozens of calls in relation to this fire and would like to thank the community for coming forward and using the Triple Zero (000) service.
