Train Fire - Hornsby

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) firefighters are working to contain a fire that broke out on a freight train travelling through Hornsby Railway Station just before 2:00pm.

Crews arrived to find smoke and flames issuing from a shipping container on a southbound freight train and are currently working to prevent the spread of fire.

No injuries have been reported however, all trains travelling through the area have been suspended.

Commuters travelling on the T1 North Shore Line, T9 Northern Line and Central Coast and Newcastle Line are advised to expect delays, visit transportnsw.info for more information.
