Burst Water Main - Newport

Just after 10:00am this morning Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) were called to reports of a large water main that had burst on Attunga Road, Newport.

On arrival fire crews found the large main had burst and was completely flooding Attunga Road. Sydney Water was urgently called for the main to be shut off.

The road surface is buckled and there is possibilities of sink holes forming, however fortunately no properties are under threat at this stage.

Police are diverting traffic around the area as roads will be affected for a period of time.
