House Fire - Carlton

Just after 7:30am this morning Fire and Rescue NSW responded to numerous Triple Zero (000) calls to a fire at the rear of the property on Cronulla St, Carlton.

On route, firefighters received updated information that a fire was on the rear balcony and impacting the house. Fortunately all occupants were safely evacuated.

Upon arrival, confirmation of a fire with flames and smoke issuing from the property, fast actions from crews on the scene prevented any major fire spread.



Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said FRNSW is attending numerous house fires and that it was a timely reminder for residents to develop their fire escape plan.

"Now is the time for residents to check they have a working smoke alarm and that all members of the family have an awareness of calling Triple Zero (000) in an emergency," he said.
