Bus Fire - Camperdown

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) firefighters have managed to extinguish a fire that broke out on a bus travelling on Parramatta Road, Camperdown just before 6pm on Monday 11 January.

FRNSW received numerous Triple Zero (000) calls to smoke and flames billowing from a bus on Glebe Point Rd, Camperdown.

Crews arrived on scene a short time later and were confronted with a bus fully involved with fire, thankfully all occupants of the bus managed to evacuate safely and no injuries were reported.

Parramatta Road was closed Eastbound and two lanes closed Westbound while emergency services worked to render the area safe.
