Tip Fire - Woy Woy

Just before 3:30pm, Sundsy 10 January Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) received multiple Triple Zero (000) calls to reports of a fire at a rubbish tip on Nagari Rd, Woy Woy
On route fire crews noticed thick black smoke issuing and called for additional support to assist including a FRNSW bulk tankers for water supply
On arrival Crews found a large amount of rubbish alight and started using foam to help extinguish the blaze alongside crews from the Rural Fire Service.
Crews managed to bring the fire under control just after 5pm, with heavy machinery brought in to carry out salvage operations.
