Building Fire - Picton

Just after 2.10pm this afternoon Fire and Rescue NSW received multiple Triple Zero (000) calls reporting a fire at a large industrial factory on Henry St, Picton.

First arriving crews from Picton Fire Station found the building well alight with large amounts of smoke and flames issuing from the roof of the factory.

More than 30 firefighters are currently on scene attempting to contain the blaze, with further resources on the way.

Dozens of people have been evacuated from the premises however no injuries have been reported and all persons are accounted for.

Motorists are being asked to avoid the area if possible as emergency services continue to render the area safe.
