Car Fire - Wentworthville

Just after 1pm Fire and Rescue NSW crews attending reports of a Car fire under a unit block in Short St, Wentworthville.
Upon arrival firefighters from Parramatta Fire Station found smoke bellowing from an underground carpark and discovered a car had caught alight.
Crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading.
Five people had evacuated from the area, with one patient treated by firefighters and NSW Ambulance for smoke inhalation on scene.
Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said this is a timely reminder that calling Triple Zero (000) for an emergency can be the difference between life and death.
