Hay Shed Fire - Hambledon Hill

Just after 6:00pm on Tuesday, Fire and Rescue NSW received a Triple Zero (000) call reporting a hay shed alight at a rural property on Hambledon Hill Road, Hambledon Hill.

Crews from Singleton Fire Station initially arrived on scene to find volumes of smoke issuing from a large hay shed.

Several firefighters from both Fire and Rescue NSW and the NSW Rural Fire Service worked together extensively to battle the blaze.

With the assistance of machinery they were able to remove all the hay bales and sheep feed from the shed and contain the fire within two hours, however firefighters remaining on scene until midnight.

NSW Ambulance were in attendance for firefighters wellbeing but no injuries were reported.
