Published: 07 Nov 2020 07:13pm

Just after 7:13pm this evening Fire and Rescue NSW responded to a house fire on Stratchan St, Kingsford following numerous Triple Zero (000) calls.

Upon arrival crews found large plumes of smoke issuing from two sheds at the rear of the house. Firefighters are currently working to contain the blaze and have established an exclusion zone around the property due to an unstable wall threatening to collapse.

All residents of the home have been evacuated, with one female being treated by NSW Ambulance for smoke inhalation.

Neighbouring homes have also been evacuated however no further injuries have been reported.

Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said this is a timely reminder that calling Triple Zero (000) for an emergency can be the difference between life and death.

The Triple Zero (000) service is the quickest way to get the right resources from emergency services to help you. It should be used to contact Police, Fire or Ambulance services in life-threatening or time-critical situations.
