Factory Fire - Bankstown

Just after 10:30am, Saturday 31 October, Fire and Rescue NSW responded to Homedale Road, Bankstown after receiving repeat Triple Zero (000) calls reporting a factory fire.

Crews from Bankstown Fire Station reported large volumes of smoke on route, and immediately upgraded the response.

Multiple crews from Fire Stations across Sydney's West, arrived shortly after to find large volumes of black smoke and flames issuing from a large factory.

More than firefighters worked for over two hours to control the fire, and managed to prevent further spread to the surrounding structures.

NSW Ambulance and NSW Police also attended, although no injuries have been reported.

Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing.
