Garage Fire - Wentworthville

Just after 7:30am, Saturday 17 October, Fire and Rescue NSW responded to Killeen Street, Wentworthville following multiple Triple Zero (000) calls reporting a garage fire.

Multiple crews from Fire Stations across Sydney's West arrived on scene to find large volumes of black smoke and flames issuing from a garage behind a home.

Firefighters worked quickly to control the blaze preventing the fire from spreading to surrounding properties. Approximately eight people were evacuated as a precaution from two neighbouring homes.

One elderly male was treated by NSW Ambulance for minor burns before being transported to hospital.

Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing.
