Truck Fire - Vittoria

Just before 3pm this afternoon, Fire and Rescue NSW responded to the Mitchell Highway, Vittoria following reports of a truck fire.
Crews from Bathurst Fire Station arrived shortly after to find a truck with large volumes of black smoke and flames issuing from the cabin.
Firefighters managed to quickly extinguish the blaze and no injuries were reported.
NSW Police closed Michell Highway in both directions near Gardiners Road while emergency services worked to render the area safe. The road has since reopened.
