House Fire - Lightning Ridge

Just after 1pm, 11 October, Fire and Rescue NSW responded to repeat Triple Zero (000) calls reporting a house fire on Potch St, Lightning Ridge.

Crews from Northern NSW attended a building well alight in the opal fields camp area and worked to contain the fire to its origin, reports of gas bottles in the building hampered firefighters efforts.

No persons were trapped or injured in the blaze.

Rural Fire Service were also in attendance.

NSW Police are investigating the incident.
