Building Fire - Guilford

At 11:42pm, 27 September, Fire and Rescue NSW crews from Western Sydney responded to reports of smoke issuing from the basement of a building on Cardigan St, Guilford.

More than 30 firefighters worked to find and extinguish the blaze, caused by a car alight in basement of two buildings above.

Both buildings were fully evacuated until crews extinguished the blaze and cleared the smoke from the scene.

Up to 45 residents required alternate accommodation as the building received damage to major services.

NSW Ambulance were also in attendance however there were no reported injuries.
