Car Crash, Person Trapped - North Tamworth

Shortly before 9am, Fire and Rescue Station NSW were alerted to a two car collision, with a person trapped, on North Street, Tamworth.

Firefighters from Tamworth and South Tamworth Fire Stations arrived to the scene to find one one person trapped in a vehicle, requiring rescuing.

Crews developed a plan for extrication and commenced to remove the side of the car. The difficult process required a paramedic to get into the vehicle and stabilise the the patient at the same time.

Forty minutes later, the trapped and injured person was removed and placed in the care of NSW Ambulance.

NSW Police and South Tamworth Firefighters have remained on scene to remove debris and render the area safe.
