Machinery Fire - Fairfield East

At 8:20am, Fire and Rescue NSW were alerted to a fire in an industrial shredder in a waste recycling plant on Lisbon St, Fairfield East.

Multiple crews from Sydney's Western Suburbs responded to the incident, arriving to the scene find a large amount of smoke in the area.

After investigating the cause, firefighters discovered a smouldering fire in a large industrial bin, inside a waste recycling plant.

Once power was isolated, crews worked for over 40minutes to extinguish the fire.

Crews then worked to ventilate the area and render the incident safe.

No injuries for sustained a result of the incident.
