Gas Leak - Willow Vale

Shortly before 10:30am, Fire and Rescue NSW crews were called to Willow Street, Willow Vale after receiving reports of a gas leak.

Crews from Mittagong Fire Station arrived on scene to find a large gas line had been ruptured after workmen were excavating in the area.

Firefighters set up fire protection and exclusion zones while gas crews worked to repair the damage.

Willow Street is closed in both directions and one house has been evacuated as a result of the incident.

Please avoid the area if possible.
