House Fire - Wallsend

Just after 1pm today Fire and Rescue NSW responded to numerous Triple Zero (000) calls reporting a house alight on Peters Avenue, Wallsend.

Upon arrival crews on arrival found a fire in the rear of the property, fortunately no one was home at the time of the incident.

Firefighters managed to gain quick control of the fire and prevented its spread to neighboring properties.

NSW Police are currently investigating the cause of the fire.



Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said this is a timely reminder that calling Triple Zero (000) for an emergency can be the difference between life and death.
