Car crash into building - Weston

Shortly after 11am this morning Fire and Rescue NSW crews were called to Station St, Weston following reports of a car crashing into a building.

Upon arrival, crews from Kurri Kurri and Lambton Fire Stations found a car had crashed into a shop, causing extensive damage to the rear of the building.

Firefighters set up an exclusion zone while specialist rescue crews worked to stabilise the building to ensure there was no further risk to public safety.

Two people sustained injuries as a result of the crash, one was treated on scene and another was transported to hospital by NSW Ambulance.
