Car crash into tree - Wentworth Falls

Just after 4pm today Fire and Rescue NSW crews from the Blue Mountains area were called reports of a car crash on the Great Western Hwy, Wentworth Falls. 

Upon arrival crews found that a car had crashed into a tree with the male driver becoming trapped inside the vehicle. Firefighters were able to quickly free the man and he is being treated on scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics.

Traffic in the area is heavily affected, one lane of the Great Western Hwy is still closed as emergency services clear the incident. Please exercise caution if you are driving through the area.
