Published: 09 Sep 2020 05:43am

Fire and Rescue NSW crews were responded shortly before 6 am this morning to reports of a Semi-Trailer with a diesel spill on the Westlink M7 motorway (northbound)

The first arriving crew from Busby found the truck with a significant rupture to its 300-litre diesel tank and immediately set up to contain the fluid.

Specialist HAZMAT teams have been called to assist with cleaning up the spill and decanting the trucks remaining fuel load.

Traffic will be affected in the northbound direction and people are advised to slow down near crews working on the road.
