Hazmat Incident - Nowra

Fire and Rescue NSW crews were called to a Hazmat incident in Norfolk Ave, Nowra shortly after 6am this morning.

Four crews from the Shoalhaven area including specialist Hazmat teams arrived to find refrigerant system in truck had burst and leaking out.

The area has been contained with an exclusion zone setup in the area as crews prepare a cleanup and decontamination plan for the site.

UPDATE: 8am
Crews are working in Spillage suits and Breathing apparatus, gaining entry to rear area of truck removing contents to find origin of spillage.
