Fire and Rescue NSW crews from Lidcombe, Bankstown, Chester Hill and Revesby Fire Station attended the scene of a truck fire on Amy Street, Lidcombe opposite the RSPCA building.

Crews arrived to find a semi-trailer with flames coming from the top of the trailer, caused by the load of dry rubbish the truck was transporting.

Crews worked to extinguish the blaze, requiring an aerial appliance to access the top of the truck.

The blaze was controlled shortly after 1pm and crews assisted in the transport of the truck to an area where the load could be removed from the truck.

Traffic is heavily impacted in the area. Please drive with caution.
