Hazmat Incident - Corrimal

Today just before 2pm Fire and Rescue NSW crews from Corrimal Fire Station responded to reports of a strong smell of diesel in the creek at Tarrawanna Road, Corrimal.

On arrival crews confirmed the spill and immediately responded Hazmat experts from Shellharbour Fire Station.

Working together FRNSW fire fighters and Hazmat experts used booms to contain the diesel to a small creek between The Ave and Underwood Street.

The incident has now been handed over to the local council.
