Forklift Fire - Flemington

Fire and Rescue NSW crews from Sydney's West have finished mopping up at Flemington Markets, near Sydney Olympic Park, after a fire earlier today.

A call to Triple Zero (000) shortly before 11am, reported a forklift had caught alight inside the marketplace, with the driver attempting to use an extinguisher to stop the fire.

Firefighters from Lidcombe fire station arrived within minutes to find the LPG forklift totally involved with fire and got to work immediately, to bring the fire under control.

The forklift was destroyed however, no other damage or injuries occurred.
