Garage fire - Frenchs Forest

Residents of a home in Frenchs Forest were able to extinguish a fire that started in their garage after they were alerted by a smoke alarm early this morning.

The residents made the call to triple zero to report the fire at 3.41am and by the time Fire and Rescue NSW crews arrived the fire was extinguished.

The smoke alarm likely saved the house and potentially the lives of the residents so this incident is a timely reminder of the importance of having working smoke alarms in your home.
