Restaurant fire - Cessnock

Just after 3am on Sunday morning, Fire and Rescue NSW attended a fire at a fast food restaurant on Allandale Road at Cessnock.

On arrival, crews from Cessnock, Kearsley and Abermain found playground equipment at the restaurant well alight. Flames and heat from the fire also caused extensive damage to the front of the building.

Crews worked for two hours to extinguish the blaze. There have been no reports of injury, however, the restaurant was severely damaged.

Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing.
